Introducing Freelance Pulse

Welcome to Freelance Pulse
Hello all and welcome to the official launch of Freelance Pulse! The site was created to provide you with a strong, close-knit community of freelancers. We’ll be pooling together resources, lessons, and knowledge to help you become a more successful freelancer.
Features
Here is a basic rundown of what you can expect from Freelance Pulse.
- Blog – The Blog is dedicated to bringing up daily freelance telecommuting job leads and advice from experienced freelance workers.
- Forums – What good is a website without a strong community? The Forums allow you guys, the readers, to communicate with both each other and the staff at Freelance Pulse. Be prepared to offer help, share experiences, and show off your portfolio.
- Job Board – This feature allows employers to post any type of open freelance, full-time, or part-time position they have available. The jobs will be individually screened to prevent any misleading posts from being advertised.
- Portfolio Showcases – We love to let our readers share the spotlight. Have your work and your portfolio displayed for everyone at Freelance Pulse by posting here.
Enjoy the Leads
Freelance work from home job leads will be posted 5-days a week, Monday – Friday. Again, these are telecommuting or partial-telecommuting job leads, which means the work can be performed from anywhere in the world. Be sure to leave your comments on the quality of the leads posted and your experiences as you pursue the leads.
Thanks again for visiting. Be sure to subscribe to updates via email or RSS. You can find the subscription options to the right. Join the message board as well!

Uh oh…a couple of scams are lurking.
One is to go onto a website with a link and “pick a free tech gadget.” I’m quite sure when you do this, your email will be put in the bad place, or, alternatively, you’ll catch a nice virus, etc.
Also, another asks for a semi-detailed writing sample, with easy criteria, but you’ll be given 4 hours to complete it. All for the stunningly deceptively gracious amount of $2.50 (that is, “if” you are hired).
I guess it’s not your fault…….

PJ, if you come across any scam ads in the posting, please contact me as soon as you can so I can take them down. I assure you that they aren’t there intentionally.
Janice, good to see you too. Glad you’re still around.

Steve, do you have your bio on this site? What gave you the idea for this site and in an ideal world, where do you want it to go? Do you expect that it will become a membership site at some point? I’m excited about it, and I like it free!
